Infantry Duties
-Sparring
Sparring, a controlled fight between more than one canine. A spar is over-watched by an Authoritarian and is ended by the Authoritarian stepping in. Most spars end with that of one of the canines being pinned to the ground unable to come up.
Sparring can be done on various terrains to help you and your opponent learn how to fight upon them.
Commonly, in a spar you are to not seriously harm your opponent, although depending on what is set, that can vary-however it is still the most common setting in a spar.
-Fighting
A typical fight.
These fights, unlike spars are actual fights with enemies. A fight happens typical during a raid, war or that of an hit. Your goal is to try and harm your enemy as much as possible or get them to flee the area. If permitted OOC, kill.
-Completing Hits
A hit is an assigned target that you must execute no matter what. You can be assigned a hit by anyone if they offer enough to satisfy you. Once accepted, you are to track down these targets and execute them, in most cases-silently. Complete a hit and you will get the reward that you were offered.
-Hunting
As titled, you will hunt. These can be done by yourself after granted permission, together with a friend or that in a group of members. You will track, chase and kill prey and return it to the territory to feed the Battalion. Although, not every hunt is successful.
-Patrolling
A trip out into the land where you are in charge of reporting back any findings, be that of a herd of prey, animals within the territory or that of a pack. Some patrols can be boring, but it must be done-maybe try and enjoy the land if so or discover areas that you are unknown to.
-Approaching
Sometimes someone not in the pack will be near and begin role-playing. It is the job of the Infantry, Vanguard and Lookout to approach them and ask what brings them near, who they are and, what do they need-if someone in the Backup goes, it is a must someone from the listed joins them. Although if the stranger is aggressive, you are to only attack if they attack you first. If the stranger is passive and answered the questions, you are to leave them and return. It is the job of the Vanguard to oversee any strangers who are sitting, ensuring they don't try anything. You are to escort any stranger or pup needing directions to their desired area, if a pup that is lost, it is to be kept within the camp until a patrol can return it to their parents.
